FTA: HS Correlation - Overview

Agreement rules of origin are not always updated at the same time as tariff schedules. In these instances, newer HS Numbers might not find an applicable rule during analysis. The
HS Correlations
tab can be used to convert to a previous version of the WCO tariff to find the applicable rule of origin. A library of these changes exists in the
HS Correlations
tab’s grid.
This tab specifically is used as a simple reference for past HS Number changes from year to year. Each record shows the HS Number for an original year and the corresponding HS Number(s) it maps to in the next year that the numbers were updated. This also includes HS descriptions (where available) in order to aid in the decision-making process. This way, you can choose which previous HS Number(s) should replace the current HS Number(s) to find a rule.
The
HS Correlations
grid can be filtered to show only specific criteria by clicking the
Show/Hide Filter
button and using the same filter features as other grids in the system, as shown below.
