FTZ Management: Tools - Edit Inventory Layers

The
Edit Inventory Layers
screen allows the user to edit previously received inventory layers in the FTZ Management system. This screen can be opened by clicking
Edit Inventory Layers
on the
Tools
menu.
To edit a specific field on a previously received layer:
  1. Use the
    Search
drop-down to choose a field name.
  2. Use the
    for
field to enter the value to be searched. By default, three search criteria options are displayed.
  3. If additional options are needed, click
    Add Search Parameter
    .
  4. Choose the column to be modified from the
    Edit Column
drop-down. Additionally, the lookback period may be modified to look beyond 15 days in the past, although this is not recommended except in extreme cases.
  5. Click
    Go
… to proceed. The search results will appear below.
  6. To update the column, enter the updated value in the New Value flag.
    Selecting
    Preview
will provide a preview of all affected documents before any changes are applied.
  7. Click
    Save
    .
After the update has been successfully performed, a validation message appears on the screen, indicating which 214 Admissions and CF7501 or CF7512 ExitDocIDs were affected by the change. Since the data has changed from what was originally submitted to CBP, these documents must be regenerated and re-transmitted to CBP.
Data updated in the
Edit 214 Records
screen will update all inventory history as well as remaining inventory. This will impact previously filed forms. It is the zone operator’s responsibility to retransmit or report changes to previously filed documents.
