Editing an Existing PGA Template
To edit an existing PGA template, choose a template from the top grid and click its corresponding
Select
link. The selected template will highlight.
The fields in the bottom grid will populate with the template’s data and the
Edit
button will appear. Click Edit
.
Make any necessary changes. To commit the changes, click
Save
.
To validate a template to ensure the data was properly filled per CATAIR (CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements), click
Validate
at the top of the screen.
Any validation errors will appear in the
PGA Validations
tab and the status of the template will update to indicate if the template needs revalidating, has errors, or has been validated without errors.
Once the template record is created, the user can apply the template by opening the
PGA Data
link on the Edit Classification
screen.
If there is a template that matches any
Agency, Program Code
, and PGA Indicator
combinations flagged for the product’s HS Number; those templates will appear in the template drop-down in the PGA Data
pop-up:
Once the applicable template is selected, click
Apply Template
. This action automatically stores template information to the fields in PGA Data
.
