Facility Ownership
The
Facility Ownership
section of the Edit Classification
screen allows the user to define which products (stored at the parent level) will be pushed out to be stored at the individual plant, partner, or facility level. While all parts are stored at the parent level, Facility Ownership
can be used to segregate product information on a partner-by-partner or facility-by-facility basis.
To assign a facility or multiple facilities, locate the
Facility Ownership
section on the Edit Classificationscreen
and click its expansion arrow on the far left.
Click on the drop-down and choose the appropriate facility/partner.
To add a single facility to the product record, click
Add
.To assign all facilities to the product record, click
Add All
.
If any facilities need to be removed after being selected, uncheck the facility’s box.
Once the box is unchecked, click
Save Changes
.
If ONESOURCE FTZ Management has been purchased, the user has the ability to set the newly-added facility to
FTZ active
. This will push the facility to the Item Master
in FTZ Management.- If FTZ Management is in scope, refer to the FTZ Management User Guide for additional detail.
- If FTZ Management is not in scope, add the appropriate facility and save changes.
