Packaging (PG26)
record correlates with the PG26 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is a conditional PGA input record that provides data pertaining to the packaging method and materials for the cargo.If PG26 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:Field | Information |

Packaging qualifier | This code identifies the level of packaging for the product: outermost (largest=1) packages to the innermost (smallest=6) packages. If only reporting one level, show the total quantity for the item and report it as level 1. |
Quantity | The total quantity for the packaging level. |
Level unit of measure | The unit of measure for the packaging level. |
Package identifier | The specific identifier on the packaging such as dates or codes (marks and numbers). This does not include lot number, which is specified elsewhere. |
Packaging method | The method used in packing the product. Valid methods are listed in Appendix B in the ACS ABI CATAIR (Shipping/Packaging Unit Codes). |
Package material | The type of material used to package the product (e.g. wooden crates, metal boxes, glass bottles). |
Package filter | The type of filler used within the package (e.g. hay, paper, plastic). |
