Product Source (PG06)
record correlates with the PG06 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is a conditional PGA input record that provides data pertaining to source types (origins).If PG06 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:Field | Information |

Source type code | This code identifies the role of a country regarding a product (e.g. harvested, grown, produced, processed, sold, or the source). |
Country code | A two-letter code that identifies where the harvest, growth, production, processing sale, or catch took place or the raw material came from. Valid International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Country and Currency Code codes are in Appendix B in the ACS ABI CATAIR. |
Geographic location | The state, province, or geographical location where the harvest, growth, production, sale, or catch took place, or the source. |
Processing start date | The date when the processing for the product started. This includes the start date of the harvesting vessel trip. |
Processing end date | The date when the processing for the product ended. This includes the end date of the harvesting vessel trip. |
Processing type code | The code identifying the method of processing used to make the product. This includes the harvesting vessel's fishing gear. For a list of valid codes, see Appendix PGA (Processing Type Codes). |
Processing description | Text describing the processing methods. If "Processing Type Code 017—Other" is used, this field is mandatory. |
