Smart ECN search

In the
Smart ECN
 screen, you can classify a product with an Export Control Number (ECN) quickly and compliantly by offering four ways of selecting the appropriate ECN for the product being classified.

To access this screen:
  1. Open the
    Global Classification
     menu.
  2. Navigate to
    Classification queues
    .
  3. Go to
    Product lookup
     work queue.
  4. In the grid that appears, select a product number (
    ProductNum
    ) link.
  5. This action will open the
    Product record
     screen.

At this point, you can go to the
Tariff information
 section, select
Edit
, and update the ECN number manually.
To proceed to the Smart ECN functionality, follow the steps below.
  1. Select
    Actions
    .
  2. Choose
    Smart ECN
    .
  3. This will open the
    Smart ECN
     screen that offers you four ways to update the ECN number, which are described in the following sections.
