Data Validation Reports
Global Trade Visibility can be used to validate all records entering the system for accuracy and quality. Validations in GTV are categorized as soft or hard.
Validation categories | Description |
|---|---|
Soft Validation | System warning . Still allows a record into GTV and used in the other reports. |
Hard Validation | System error . Holds and will not allow a record to be inserted into GTV at all. |
To see all warnings and errors, navigate to the Data Validation section of the Compliance category chevron. All validations are held within three separate statuses.
Statuses | Description |
|---|---|
Open | Considered active and unviewed. |
Acknowledged | Reviewed and determined that corrective action is required. Corrective action has been taken. |
Disregarded | Reviewed and determined that no corrective action is required. The item can be removed from the Open Validation queue. |
Updating Open Validations to Acknowledged/Disregarded
To update an Open Validation to an
Acknowledged
or Disregarded
status, open the Validation Errors Details
report. This report can be found within the Compliance
category and Data Validation
sub-category as either Open Errors
or Open Warnings
.On the right side of the grid are two columns labelled
Apply Acknowledge
and Apply Disregard
, each with an associated checkbox. To select all, click the checkbox beneath Apply Acknowledge
or Apply Disregard
. To select an individual line(s), choose the record(s) to acknowledge or disregard. Next, check Apply Acknowledge
or Apply Disregard
for the record(s).

If the Tariff Analyzer product has been purchased, an
Analyze Trade Lane
link will appear in the first column of certain reports within the Savings
category and Tariff Analysis
sub-category.
If this link is clicked, Tariff Analyzer will open the pop-up displayed below and run an analysis based on the Countries and HS Number on the report. This helps you assess the multiple impacts of a particular sourcing option, such as financial, compliance, and risk.
View in EV (Entry Verification)
If Entry Verification was purchased, the
View in EV
link may appear on declaration detail reports under certain Sub-Categories. Clicking this link will redirect the ONESOURCE Entry Verification product so more detailed data related to the declaration can be reviewed.If Entry Verification has not been purchased,
N/A
will appear in this column.
WCO Descriptions
If configured, hovering over an HS Number on any grid or chart will pull up the WCO description for the 6-digit global portion of the HS.
