Terminology and Key Definitions
This section defines the terms commonly used in this document to ensure all parties are using a common vocabulary.
System Terminology | Description |

Category | The broadest level of cataloging reports within GTV. Categories are located in the pull-out left-hand nav and have multiple associated views. |
View | The middle level of cataloging reports within GTV. Views are located vertically on the GTV reporting screens and have multiple associated reports. |
Report | A graph/grid that displays client data within GTV. Reports are located horizontally on the GTV reporting screens. |
Filter | A parameter added to a report. Filters narrow the scope of a report’s display. |
Target | The act of connecting two reports. |
Date Terminology | Description |
|---|---|
YoY (Year over Year) | Current calendar year data compared to last year’s data from the start of calendar year to the same month of the previous year. |
YTD (Year to Date) | Data beginning in January of current calendar year up to today’s date shown by months. |
FY (Fiscal Year) | Client’s financial reporting period where it differs from the calendar year. |
-365 (Full Year View) | Full year of information from today’s date mins 365 days. |
