Steel Melt and Pour

Section 232 requirements mandate reporting of Steel Melt and Pour data for applicable steel imports and derivatives of steel into the United States. This data is required on the Entry Summary filing. If your system has been configured for it, the "Steel Melt and Pour" action button can be used to report the country of melt and pour for line items subject to steel reporting requirements. This data can then be fed to a self-filing solution to send directly on your Entry Summary filing, or can be configured to send to a broker for broker filing with US CBP.

The "System Messages" tab may display which lines require Steel Melt and Pour reporting. Review system messages before proceeding.
To enter Steel Melt and Pour data:
  1. Select
    Steel Melt and Pour
     on the top right of the screen to open the pop-up.
  2. Check the boxes of the entry lines you want to apply the data to.
  3. Hover your cursor over the
    Action
     option and click
    Steel Melt and Pour Requirements
    .
  4. A pop-up will appear alerting you that the Steel Melt and Pour Requirements will be applied to the selected Entry lines. Click
    OK
     to proceed.
  5. The "User Input" pop-up will appear. In the "Input" column, click inside the input field to activate the country dropdown. Select the applicable country of melt and pour from the dropdown.
    important
    You must click directly inside the input field to make the country dropdown visible. If the dropdown does not appear, click the input field again to activate it.
  6. Click
    Save
     once the field is filled out.
  7. After saving, a success message will display and the selected country will appear in the grid.
Once the data is saved, the corresponding System Message for that line will be cleared. If any lines still require reporting, they will continue to appear in the "System Messages" tab.

You will be able to edit the Steel Melt and Pour data before shipments are in a Processed status. Once in Processed status, the data will be viewable but read only. Click
Undo Shipment Processing
 if changes need to be made to this data.
