Singapore: Changes to the Strategic Goods Control List

Date of publication: September 25th, 2024
Singapore Customs issued Circular No: 07/2024 on August 1, 2024, informing traders and declaring agents about updates to the Strategic Goods Control List. The new Strategic Goods (Control) Order 2024 (SGCO 2024) aligns with the 2023 Wassenaar Arrangement’s Munition List and the 2023 European Union’s List of Dual-Use Items. The SGCO 2024, effective from October 1, 2024, includes revisions and editorial amendments for clarity. Amendments will also be made to the Strategic Goods (Control) Regulations and the Strategic Goods (Control) (Brokering) Order 2019 to reference the new SGCO 2024.
