UK imposes 100 new sanctions to cripple Russia’s war machine

The United Kingdom announced 100 new sanctions targeting Russia’s shadow fleet and key suppliers of military components, aiming to disrupt President Vladimir Putin’s revenue streams and military capabilities amid escalating aggression in Ukraine.
The measures coincide with Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper’s visit to Kyiv, signalling solidarity with Ukraine following Russian air strikes that violated NATO airspace over Poland and damaged key buildings in Kyiv, including the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, the British Council, and EU delegation offices.

The sanctions respond to Russia’s intensified military actions, including the largest single-night air attack of the conflict, with over 800 missiles and drones launched against Ukraine.
