BOM Edit screen: Data retention fix for dropdown columns
What it is
: In the 26.2 update, this fix addresses a data retention issue on the
BOM Edit
screen where previously saved information — including
Supplier ID
and other dropdown column values — was being cleared whenever you edited a line on an existing BOM. The correction ensures that all existing data on a BOM line is preserved when you enter edit mode, rather than being lost and requiring re-entry.
This fix applies broadly across all dropdown columns on the BOM Edit screen, not just Supplier ID, providing a comprehensive solution that protects the integrity of all previously entered BOM line data during editing.
Benefit to you:
You no longer have to worry about losing previously entered BOM line data simply by making an edit. This eliminates a disruptive and time-consuming experience that required you to repopulate information that was already in the system. The fix reduces unnecessary manual effort, minimizes the risk of data entry errors during re-entry, and creates a more seamless editing experience. If you manage large or complex BOMs, you'll notice a meaningful improvement to your day-to-day productivity and can have greater confidence in the reliability of the platform.
RVC buffer override at product level
What it is
: You now have the ability to override the
RVC buffer
at the product level for goods that meet the regulatory RVC requirement but fall short of the internally established buffer threshold. This override is only permitted when the regulatory requirement is satisfied, ensuring that the action remains within compliant boundaries. The capability is managed at the product level, giving you precise control over which specific BOMs are affected.
Benefit to you:
Trade compliance teams gain the discretionary control needed to make informed, product-specific decisions without being restricted by internal buffer settings. For goods that legitimately satisfy the regulatory RVC threshold, you can now create qualified records that would have otherwise been blocked by the buffer. This expands the value of your qualifying goods portfolio while preserving compliance integrity, as the override is only accessible when the regulatory requirement has been met.
FTA BOM Range and Rules Range: Align BOM date ranges with rule transitions
What it is
: As part of the 26.2 release,
FTA BOM Range and
Rules Range
introduces the ability to align BOM date ranges with their corresponding rule ranges, accommodating scenarios where multiple active rules exist simultaneously. As trade agreements evolve and new rules are introduced, BOMs that span across rule transition periods can now be accurately matched to the rule that was in effect during their applicable timeframe. This ensures that older BOMs running under a previous rule set are not incorrectly evaluated against a newer rule, and vice versa.
You can select between multiple active rules based on the date range that applies to your specific BOMs, giving you precise control over rule applicability across years.
Benefit to you:
Confidently manage compliance across rule transitions without the risk of misapplying regulations.
Eliminates manual workarounds and reduces compliance errors during regulatory updates.
Serves as the foundational capability for Rule of Origin Analysis, positioning you for deeper analytical features as they become available.
Keeps you aligned with both current and upcoming regulatory requirements, strengthening your overall compliance posture.
Automated rule alignment for BOMs impacted by rule updates
What it is
: This new feature equips the system to intelligently handle BOMs that are impacted by rule updates, ensuring each BOM is evaluated against the rule that was in effect during its specific date range. When rule changes occur mid-year or between periods, the system automatically aligns each BOM's start and end date to the corresponding rule that was active during that timeframe. Rather than applying a single rule broadly across all active BOMs, the system distinguishes between BOMs that fall under a previous rule and those that fall under a newly effective rule.
Benefit to you:
No more manually tracking which rule applies to which BOM during regulatory transitions, significantly reducing the risk of compliance errors.
A side-by-side comparison gives your trade compliance team clear visibility into how rule changes impact your BOMs, allowing you to proactively respond to regulatory shifts.
Particularly valuable when rule updates take effect mid-year, where old and new requirements can easily be mismanaged.
Automating rule alignment keeps you better equipped to maintain accuracy, reduce audit risk, and stay ahead of evolving trade agreement requirements.
Supplier Portal: Document management restrictions enforced on submitted and accepted certifications
What it is
: The
Supplier Portal Platform
now enforces document management restrictions that prevent you from adding, editing, or removing documents once a certification has been submitted or accepted. Prior to this enhancement, documents could be modified at any stage of the certification lifecycle, creating potential compliance and audit risks. With this update, documents remain fully editable while a certification is in a draft, generated, or rejected state, but become locked and read-only upon submission. If a certification is accepted, that locked state is maintained permanently. The user interface clearly communicates when documents are locked, with visual indicators and messaging that remove any ambiguity around what actions are permitted.
The system also intelligently handles mixed state scenarios, where bulk operations will only apply document changes to certifications that are still in an editable state, leaving submitted and accepted records untouched.
Benefit to you:
Supporting documentation cannot be altered once a certification is submitted or accepted, strengthening audit trail consistency.
Reduces exposure to compliance violations caused by unauthorized or unintentional document modifications.
Clear visual indicators help you immediately understand the state of a certification, reducing day-to-day workflow errors.
Aligns the platform with industry best practices for document integrity, giving you and your suppliers greater confidence in the certification process.
