COUNTRY THREAT CONTENT

The
Country Threat Content
screen offers the ability to review specific threat and risk content by country to better assist with assigning threat values to business partners. Assigning threat scores to business partners provides a more robust overall view of risk for a given partner. Once a threat score is determined, it can be applied to any or all business partners in a selected country.
Once a country is selected, you have the option to view country threat information for the selected country by clicking the
Click here to view country information
link.
Multiple sources of threat content will be displayed (e.g., Corruption Perception Index (CPI) scores) to assist with the assignment of a threat score for a given country.
Additionally, partners associated with the selected country will appear in the text box to the right of the country drop-down.
  1. Choose a company (or all partners identified).
  2. Determine a value for the threat score.
  3. Enter the value in the
Threat Score to Apply to Partners
    field.
  4. Click
    Update
    .
The selected Partner’s profile(s) will be updated to include that specific threat score which can then be incorporated in risk analysis.
important
If no countries are selected, the threat score applies to all listed partners.
All information will initially be collapsed so all categories can be easily viewed. To view more information about a specific category, click on its expansion button on the left.

EMAIL MAINTENANCE

The
Email Maintenance
screen allows you to view e-mails that have failed or are pending to go out of the system.

EMAIL BOUNCEBACK MANAGEMENT

The SCC product communicates with both Company users and Supplier Users by automatically sending e-mails to users in order to request additional information from those users, or to provide alerts to specific items needing further attention.
In these cases it is critical that those users are notified properly so requests can be fulfilled in a timely manner. However, in some cases, user e-mail addresses fail to send due to a failure in the delivery process or an invalid/deactivated e-mail address. This is referred to as a
Bounceback
.
The most common reasons why an e-mail bounces back are:
E-mail bounces
Description
Invalid E-mail Account
  • The e-mail recipient has been deactivated or removed from the e-mail domain and may not exist anymore.
  • A typing or spelling mistake may be pr.esent on the e-mail recipient’s provided address
Invalid E-mail Domain/Server
  • A typing or spelling mistake may be present on the e-mail domain address.
  • The e-mail domain server may be temporarily under maintenance and offline.
Mailbox Full
The e-mail recipient account has a full mailbox and cannot receive e-mails until space is freed up
Blocked E-mail
The recipient's e-mail server has blocked the receipt of the sent e-mail by any given policy set by the responsible domain. (E-mail Daemon)
When an e-mail bounces back, the ONESOURCE Global Trade team recommends that users take the following steps:
  1. First, check the recipient's e-mail and domain address for any typing or spelling mistake.
  2. If any errors are present, make any necessary changes.
  3. Send a test e-mail to the proposed recipient from the user's e-mail account (not via ONESOURCE Global Trade) so our users can check if that e-mail recipient still exists in the destination server/domain.
This chapter contains the following information:
  • Viewing failed e-mails via the
    Bounceback
    Emails screen
  • Receiving/setting up e-mail notifications via the
    Email Notifications
    screen
VIEWING FAILED EMAILS (BOUNCEBACK EMAILS)
The

from the user menu and then selecting
Bounceback Emails

In this screen, ONESOURCE Supply Chain Compliance (SCC) users will have access to the
SCC Bounceback E-mails
dock. Additional information about the e-mail(s) that bounced back will become visible, including the recipient who failed to receive the e-mail in either the
To Addresses
or
CC Addresses
columns.
This screen can be filtered to show only e-mails containing certain specific information or that bounced during a specified period of time.
In the
SCC Bounceback E-mails
dock, clicking on a
Preview
link will open a pop-up containing a preview of the email template connected to the e-mail to assist the user in identification of that message that will need to be resent once the cause of the bounceback has been addressed.

RECEIVING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS (EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS)

It is also possible to set up e-mail notifications so a set group of users within the company will receive automated notifications as e-mail bouncebacks occur. These undelivered e-mails are checked recurrently within the central ONESOURCE Global Trade mailbox and notifications are sent to the configured users. The standard notification e-mails will contain:
  • A link to download an excel file containing a list of the bounced back e-mails that happened since the last notification.
  • A link to the bounce back e-mails report where users can check all past bounce back e-mails.
important
The standard notification recurrency is set to “daily.” However, notifications can be scheduled to shorter periods if desired. If your company is interested in more frequent notifications being enabled, please contact our support team at IntegrationPoint@ThomsonReuters.com
To set up users for notification of undelivered e-mails.
  1. Click on the
    Tools
