To assist with the transition from
IEEPA
to Section 122
tariffs, we are providing an optional user update. This update is designed as a mass maintenance tool
to help reduce manual effort. You may choose to use this update or manage your IMCR rules manually if preferred.Deactivate IEEPA, Create Section 122 IMCR

What this update does
When this update is run, the system will:
- Deactivateall existing, active IMCR rules that include IEEPA tariffsbut are not matching on IEEPA tariffs(as those could still be relevant for historical updates)
- TheEnd Effective Datefor these rules will be set toFebruary 23, 2026
- Clone each deactivated ruleand create a correspondingnew IMCR rulethat:
- Removes the IEEPA tariff
- Applies theappropriate Section 122 Chapter 99 HTS
- Adds the Section 122 Chapter 99 HTS into the HTS maintenance table
Important details about the cloned rules
- All match criteria remain unchanged(e.g., HTS, country, qualifiers, and other rule conditions)
- In cases wheremultiple IEEPA tariffs (IEEPA‑F and IEEPA‑R)previously applied, those may be consolidated intoa single Section 122 tariffwhere appropriate
- The system will apply “best match” between the original IEEPA tariff and the Section 122 tariff, as there is not always a direct match. Please be sure to audit the cloned rules and make any necessary adjustments you may need for your business
- A Saved Query called “000 - IMCR RULES WITH IEEPA EXCLUSIONS NOT MAPPED TO SEC 122” is available to review the rules mapping for the non-direct IEEPA to Section 122 mappings
When to use this update
This option is intended for users who want the system to:
- Perform thebulk conversion from IEEPA to Section 122
- Preserve existing IMCR logic while updating the applicable Chapter 99 tariffs
After running this update, you must
review all newly created Section 122 rules
after the update to confirm accuracy and make any necessary adjustments.Please note that if you already ran “000 - Deactivate IEEPA IMCR Rules “with the intention to manually create rules for Section 122 tariffs, but decide later that you want assistance with that, you may still run this update.
