ABI: Add/Update Manufacturer - Adding a Manufacturer and Updating ZIP/Postal Code

To add a new Manufacturer.
  1. Click
    Add New
    .
  2. Enter the following manufacturer information.
    Fields
    Description
    Action
    Use the dropdown to select
    Add Manufacturer
    .
    Internal Reference ID
    Insert your identifier reference.
    Country
    Use the dropdow to select a country.
    Firm Name
    Enter the name of the manufacturer.
    Street
    Enter the street address of the manufacturer.
    City
    Enter the city of the manufacturer.
    ZIP
    Enter the ZIP/postal code of the manufacturer.
    important
    In case the manufacturer country is China, it is required to provide a valid 6-numeric zip/postal code.
    Manufacturer ID
    Enter the manufacturer identifier code.
  3. Click
    Transmit
     to send the new manufacturer file to CBP. The page will take you back to the summary and the following validation message will be displayed.

UPDATE ZIP/POSTAL CODE

You can update a manufacturer ZIP/postal code to an existing MID code with CBP by following the instructions described below.
  1. Find the manufacturer you want to update and click
    Detail
     on the right side of the screen.
  2. You will be taken to the
    ABI Add/Update Manufacturer Detail
     screen and can perform your update. Change the
    Action
     to
    Update
    .
  3. Update the ZIP code.
  4. Click Save to confirm your changes. You can click
    Summary
     to go back to the
    Add/Update Manufacturer Summary
     screen.
important
You can also update the ZIP/postal code to an existing MID by selecting the “Update ZIP/Postal Code” on the “Action” dropdown, but you will have to insert the required data of the corresponding manufacturer to perform your update.
