ABI: Query Manufacturer - Overview
The
Query Manufacturer
screen is used for querying a Manufacturer ID (MID) code to determine whether or not the code is on file at CBP. This screen can be opened by choosing “Query Manufacturer” from the ABI
menu.To query a Manufacturer ID, first select which CBP system to query (ACS or ACE), then enter a Manufacturer ID in the
Query MID
field. Click Transmit
to submit the query.
To return query results, click
Refresh
. One of the following messages will appear in the Messages
column on the far right:- MID Code Not on File
- MID Name/Address Not on File
- MID, Name, Street Address, City, ZIP
