UOM Conversion
In ONESOURCE FTZ Petro, all weights are stored in LB (pounds) and all quantities are stored in BBL (per barrel). However, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires that certain products (based on Tariff classification) be reported in other units of measure such as liters, kilograms, etc.
The
UOM Conversion
screen provides a mechanism for converting from either LB or BBL to yield the appropriate Reporting Quantity for CBP.This screen can be opened by choosing
UOM Conversion
from the Maintenance
menu.You will enter the UOM converted from, UOM to convert to, and the factor that you would multiply the UOM converted from.
For example: From = LB, To = OZ, Factor = 16 (1 LB * 16 = 16 OZ)
Adding a New UOM Conversion
To add a new UOM Conversion, click
Add Record
.
A line with editable fields will appear at the top of the grid. Enter the required data parameters and click
Insert
to create the new conversion.
Modifying an Existing Conversion
To edit a conversion, choose a record from the grid and click
Edit
on the far left.
The fields for the record will become read/write. Make any necessary changes and click
Update
.
Deleting an Existing Conversion
To delete a conversion, choose a record from the grid and click
Delete
on the left.
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click
OK
to confirm the deletion.
