Commodity Harvesting [PG31]

After completing and saving the
Inspection [PG30]
tab, proceed to the
Commodity Harvesting [PG31]
tab.
The
Commodity Harvesting [PG31]
tab correlates with the PG31 Record of the PGA Message Set. The PG31 is for the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service and provides data pertaining to the vessel used to harvest the commodity.
The following links are located at the top left corner of this section:
Links
Description
Save
Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode.
Cancel
Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode.
Edit
Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Add New
Add a new record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Delete
Delete the selected record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
If PG31 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:
Fields
Description
Vessel Characteristic Type Code
A code indicating the type of conveyance characteristics for the vessel harvesting the commodity (e.g. overall length, name, flag). For this data field, report the code for the vessel characteristic required to describe or identify the vessel used for harvesting the commodity. For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA.
Vessel Characteristic
The term or numeral commonly used when referring to the distinguishing feature or property of the vessel used for harvesting the commodity. This includes the name of the harvesting vessel.
Conveyance UOM
Indication of the unit of measurement in which weight, capacity, length, area, volume or other quantity is expressed. For this record, the unit of measure is required when the Commodity Harvesting Vessel Characteristic is measurable. Valid Unit of Measure codes are listed in Appendix C of ACS CATAIR.
Net Weight
The weight of the harvested commodity in kilograms (kg).
After all required data has been entered, click
Save
and proceed to the
Commodity Routing
tab.

If you do not click
Save
before you move to the next tab, you will lose all of the data under the tab and will then need to re-enter it.
