Commodity Routing [PG32]

After completing and saving the
Commodity Harvesting [PG31]
tab, proceed to the
Commodity Routing [PG32]
tab. The
Commodity Routing
tab correlates with the PG32 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is a conditional PGA input record that provides data pertaining to the cargo’s routing information (routing type, country, political subunit identifying code, etc.).
The following links are located at the top left corner of this section:
Links
Description
Save
Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode.
Cancel
Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode.
Edit
Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Add New
Add a new record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Delete
Delete the selected record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
If PG32 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:
Fields
Description
Type Code
A code indicating the routing location in relation to its position in the complete journey of the goods (e.g. start of journey, intermediate destination, loading on importing conveyance). For the routing information reported in the PGA record set, the reported route is for transit or stop locations of the commodity prior to its importation. For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA.
Country Code
The ISO country code for the country through which goods are routed between the country of original departure and the country of final destination. Valid ISO codes are listed in Appendix B of the ACS ABI CATAIR.
Subunit Qualifier
A code indicating the scheme used to create the place or location identifier (e.g. Schedule K). For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA.
Subunit Number
A code representing the political subunit (e.g. state, province, region) through which goods are routed between the country of original departure and the country of final destination. If “Commodity Political Subunit of Routing Qualifier” is reported, this field is required.
Subunit Name
The name of the political subunit (e.g. state, province, region) through which goods are routed between the country of original departure and the country of final destination (e.g., Tuscany).
After all required data has been entered, click
Save
and proceed to the
Commodity Routing Geographic
tab.
