Constituent Element [PG04]

After completing and saving the
PGA Product Identifier [PG02]
tab, proceed to the
Constituent Element [PG04]
tab. The
Constituent Element [PG04]
tab correlates with the PG04 Record of the PGA Message Set. This information is a mandatory PGA input record that provides data pertaining to the Constituent Element (e.g. Active Ingredient Qualifier, Name, Quantity, Percent, Unit of Measure, etc.).
The following links are located at the top left corner of this section:
Links
Description
Save
Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode.
Cancel
Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode.
Edit
Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Add New
Add a new record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Delete
Delete the selected record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
If PG04 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:

Active Ingredient Qualifier
Is an active ingredient within the product/component?
  • Yes
    :
    Enter "Y".
  • No
    :
    Leave field blank.
Element Name
The specific name of the ingredient or product/component of an ingredient.
Element Quantity
The specific quantity of the identified element contained in the product/component (for example, quantity of plant material).
Element UOM
  • Lacey Act or FWS
    :
    Refer to Appendix PGA for valid Units of Measure. Some other applicable PGAs may request specific Units of Measure.
  • All Other PGAs
    :
    Refer to Appendix C in the ACS ABI CATAIR.
Element Percent
The percent of the ingredient in the product/component (for example, percent of plant material, percent of asbestos, percent of milk fat, percent of the recycled material, etc.)
Once all required data has been entered, click
Save
and proceed to the
Product Scientific [PG05]
tab.

If you do not click
Save
before you move to the next tab, you will lose all of the data under the tab and will then need to re-enter it.
