PGA Header [PG01]

After completing and saving the top section of the
PGA Header [PG01]
tab, move to the lower section of the the
PGA Header [PG01]
tab. The lower section of the
PGA Header [PG01]
tab correlates with the PG01 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is a mandatory PGA input record that provides data pertaining to the:
  • PGA Line Number
  • Agency Code
  • Globally Unique Product Identification Code
  • Intended Use Code
  • Intended Use Description
  • Disclaimer
The following links are located at the top left corner of this screen:

Description
Save
Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode.
Cancel
Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode.
Edit
Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record.
To complete this tab, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:
Fields
Description
Agency Code
A code that identifies the PGA. For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix V Government Agency Codes for ACE.
Program Code
A code that identifies the agency program related to the PGA data set.
PGA Indicator
The HTS agency flagging code for the PGA. This field is also where you would flag the disclaimer code for products selected as Disclaimed.
Agency Processing Code
A code that identifies the specific PGA processing requirements for the related PGA data set (e.g. EPA’s Vehicles and Engines may have a processing code for Off Road vehicles). For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA.
Electronic Image Submitted
A code of
Y
(Yes) indicates that image(s) for PGA use will be submitted via DIS. No other code is accepted.
Confidential Information Indicator
A code of
Y
(Yes) indicates that information should be treated as confidential, per the agency’s regulations. No other code is accepted.
Globally Unique Product Identification Code Qualifier
A code identifying the type of globally unique number used to identify the commercial product or commodity (i.e., Global Trade Item Number [GTIN] or Universal Product Code [UPC]). For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA.
Globally Unique Product Identification Code
A unique number used to identify the commercial product or commodity in the global supply chain (i.e. the GTIN or UPC Code number).
Intended Use Code
A code identifying the product’s intended use base code and sub-code. Refer to Appendix R Intended Use Codes for ACE-valid codes.
Intended Use Description
If “For Other Use” (980.000) code is used, then a free text description of the intended use is mandatory.
After you have entered all required data, click
Save
and proceed to the
PGA Product Identifier
tab. The PGA Header record will become visible in the grid at the top of the screen.

If you do not click
Save
before you move to the next tab, you will lose all of the data under the tab and will then need to re-enter it.
