PGA Product Entities [PG19 & PG20]
The
PGA Product Entities [PG19 & 20]
tab correlates with the PG19, PG20, and PG21 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is where you will associate all of the necessary entity data to the Product Identifier record.If an entity is required to be associated to the product data, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:
Fields | Description |
|---|---|
Entity | The name of the entity that will be reported on the PG19 record. This name is stored in the “Company Partners” maintenance screen. |
Entity Roles | All roles that associated to the selected entity in the “Company Partners” maintenance screen will appear in the “Entity Roles” drop-down. To complete this field, click on the drop-down and select the specific role this particular entity will perform at the Importer Document level. |
Individual | The name of the individual that will be reported on the PG22 record. This name is stored in the Company Partners maintenance screen and is tied to the entity selected. |
Individual Roles | All roles that are associated to the selected individual in the “Company Partners” maintenance screen will appear in the “Individual Roles” dropdown. To complete this field, click on the drop-down and select the specific role this particular individual will perform at the Importer Document level. |
Identification | The Identification Code and Number being reported in the PGA Message for this Entity. Examples include DUNS, IRS Number, and Manufacturer ID. |
Additional Fields Utilized Specifically For PG19 Entities | These fields will be utilized only if the particular agency wants the PG60 reported with your entities. |
PG60 Additional Information Qualifier Code | A code used to indicate the type of essential or distinctive attribute/quality of an item. For a list of valid codes, see Appendix PGA (Additional Information Qualifier Codes) . |
PG60 Additional Information | Free form text relevant to the shipment or the commodity. |
Remarks Fields Utilized Specifically For PG21 Individuals | These fields will be utilized only if the particular agency wants the PG24 reported with your entities. If not, continue to provide the PG24 on the PGA Product Remarks [PG24] tab. |
PG24 Remarks Type Code | A code indicating the type of remark. For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA (Remarks Type Code). This parameter should be the same as the one in PGA Product Remarks [PG24]. |
PG24 Remarks Code | A code indicating the remark. If a Remarks Type Code is reported, either a Remarks Code or Remarks Text is required. For a list of valid codes, refer to Appendix PGA (Remarks Code). This parameter should be the same as the one in PGA Product Remarks [PG24]. |
PG24 Remarks Text | Free form text relevant to the shipment or the commodity. |
Once all required data has been entered, click
Add Entity
to save the entity information added by you .If
Add Entity
is not clicked before moving to the next tab, all data on the current tab will be lost and must be re-entered.After clicking “Add Entity”, the company data will appear in a grid and the following links will be located at the left side of each record.

Options | Description |

Select | By clicking Select , you can view the entity information and perform changes on PG24 remarks fields and PG60 additional information fields. |
Delete | By clicking Delete , you remove the corresponding record. |

Edit | Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab. |
Add New | Add a new record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab. |
Delete | Delete the selected record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab. |
Save | Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode. |
Cancel | Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode. |
