Product Source [PG06]
After completing and saving the
Product Scientific [PG05]
tab, proceed to the Product Source [PG06]
tab.The
Product Source [PG06]
tab correlates with the PG06 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is a conditional PGA input record that provides data pertaining to source types (origins) other than the CBP Country of Origin in addition to processing dates, type, and description. 
The following links are located at the top left corner of this section:
Links | Description |

Save | Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode. |
Cancel | Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode. |
Edit | Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab. |
Add New | Add a new record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab. |
Delete | Delete the selected record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab. |
If PG06 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:
Fields | Description |

Source Type Code | This code identifies what role the country had regarding a product (e.g. harvested, grown, produced, processed, sold, or the source).

Country Code | A two-letter code that identifies where the harvest, growth, production, processing sale, or catch took place or the raw material came from. Valid International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Country and Currency Code codes are in Appendix B in the ACS ABI CATAIR. |
Geographic Location | The state, province, or geographical location (e.g. North Atlantic Sea) where the harvest, growth, production, sale, or catch took place, or the source.

Processing Start Date | The date when the processing for the product started. This includes the start date of the harvesting vessel trip. |
Processing End Date | The date when the processing for the product ended. This includes the end date of the harvesting vessel trip. |
Processing Type Code | The code identifying the method of processing used to make the product. This includes the harvesting vessel’s fishing gear. For a list of valid codes, see Appendix PGA (Processing Type Codes). |
Processing Description | Text describing the processing methods. If “Processing Type Code 017—Other” is used, this field is mandatory. |
Once all required data has been entered, click
Save
and proceed to the Trade/Brand Detail
tab.important
If you do not click
Save
before you move to the next tab, you will lose all of the data under the tab and will then need to re-enter it.
