Trade/Brand Detail [PG07]

After completing and saving the
Product Source [PG06]
 tab, proceed to the
Trade/Brand Detail [PG07]
 tab.
The
Trade/Brand Detail
 tab correlates with the PG07 Record of the PGA Message Set. This is a conditional PGA input record that provides data pertaining to item identity numbers (Trade/Brand Name, Model, Manufacture Year, etc.).
The following links are located at the top left corner of this section:
Links
Description
Save
Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode.
Cancel
Discard all changes made after the most recent save. The tab will revert to Read Only Mode.
Edit
Activate Edit Mode so any necessary additions/modifications can be made to the open record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Add New
Add a new record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
Delete
Delete the selected record. This action will only be made available once one or more records exist on the tab.
If PG07 data is required, enter the appropriate information in the fields listed below:
Fields
Description
Trade or Brand Name
The make of the product/component by manufacturer or distributor from the label or invoice.
Model
The code or name of the product/component.
Manufacture Month
The month the product/component was manufactured.
Manufacture Year
The year the product/component was manufactured.
Qualifier
The qualifier indicates the type of number that is used to identify the item (e.g. VIN number, serial number, engine number). Valid qualifier codes are listed in Appendix PGA.
Number
The unique identity number for the item.
After all required data has been entered, click
Save
 and proceed to the
Item Identity
 sub-tab.
note
If you do not click
Save
 before you move to the next tab, you will lose all of the data under the tab and will then need to re-enter it.
After completing and saving the
Trade/Brand Detail [PG07]
 tab, proceed to the
Item Identity [PG08]
 sub-tab. The
Item Identity
 sub-tab correlates with the PG08 Record of the PGA Message Set.
PG08 data is used to report multiple item identity numbers such as vehicle identification numbers (VIN) or serial numbers related to the manufacturer name and/or model of the item.

Save
Save any data that was added or changed since the most recent save in Edit Mode.

Number
The unique identity for the item in the type designated by the Item Identity Qualifier on the PG07 (Trade/Brand Detail) data.
Once all required data has been entered, click
Save
 and proceed to the
Trade/Brand Additional [PG10]
 tab.
