Schedule CA (540NR) print requirements
To print schedule CA (540NR), California Adjustments – Nonresidents or Part-Year Residents:
- Go to theOrganizer,States, then theAdd States/Citiesfolder.
- On the California line, you need the fieldPYorNRto be selected forPart-Year Resident, orNonresident.
- Go to theTax Forms,State,Californiafolder.
- Go to thePart-year Resident/Nonresident,Sch CA (540NR) - Adjustmentsfolder.
- On thePage 1tab,Part II,Section Ahas an amount inColumn B - SubtractionsorColumn C - Additions.
- Or go toPage 5tab,Part IV,Line 4 - California Itemized/Standard Deductions, orLine 5 - California Taxable Incomeneeds to be populated.
- Run a full compute and print the return.
To force print the return:
- Go to theOrganizer,State, then theCaliforniafolder.
- Go to theReturn Optionsfolder.
- Go to thePrint Optionssection and mark theSchedule CA or Sch CA (540NR)field.
- Run a full compute and print the return.
