Form MI-8949 print requirements

To print form MI-8949, Michigan Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets:
  1. Go to
    Tax Forms
    States
    Michigan
    . Select
    Resident
     or
    Part-year Resident/Nonresident
    .
  2. Select
    MI-1040D - Capital Gains and Losses
    .
  3. Make sure there is an amount or
    NONE
     in at least one of these lines:
    1. Line 1
      , column
      D
      .
    2. Line 6
      , column
      D
      .
  4. Do a full recompute, then print.
If the form doesn’t print, make sure the correct extension option is selected:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Payments and Extensions
    Extensions
    .
  2. Go to the
    State Options and Payments
     tab.
  3. Make sure
    option 1
     or
    option 2
     isn't selected for
    Michigan
    .
  4. Do a full recompute, then print.
