About partner bridge

For tax year 2022 and later, you can import and export federal and state partner information and special allocations.

Steps for using Partner Bridge

  1. Download the Partner Bridge spreadsheet in the file download table for your product.
    note
    The table is on the main product page entitled
    Data imports and exports
    .
  2. Complete the
    Control
    worksheet.
  3. The
    States
    worksheet lists the 2-character code abbreviation for each state, U.S. territories and possessions, and U.S. military postal designations. Use the 2-character code to complete the Partner Information worksheet.
  4. The
    Foreign
    worksheet lists country names and designations in alpha order. Use this worksheet to determine the 2-character code to complete the Partner Information worksheet.
  5. To import partner information, complete the Partner Information worksheet.
  6. To import special allocations, complete the Special Allocations worksheet.
note
Schedule K-3 fields are not included in Partner Bridge. We recommend:
  • Use Tax Return Import to import data for information that's calculated inside the system.
  • Use DK-1 for information that's calculated outside the system.
