Form EL101B, Part I, Lines 1 and 2

On Maryland Form EL101B, Part I, Lines 1 and 2 display N/A for pass-through entity (1065) returns, and you can't populate them.
For 1065 pass-through entity returns, Maryland hard-codes Part I, Lines 1 and 2 on Form EL101B (Declaration for E-Filing) to display
N/A
. You can't enter data on these lines.
This is by design, based on Maryland state requirements. Per the form instructions, pass-through entities generally can't receive a refund, so they shouldn't complete Lines 1 and 2.
  1. Confirm that the return is a 1065 pass-through entity return.
  2. Confirm that Line 3 in Part I is populated correctly. This line pulls from Maryland Form 510, Page 2, Line 20.
  3. Leave Lines 1 and 2 as
    N/A
    when you file the return.
