To print and calculate Form VA-8879P, Virginia Pass-Through Entity Return of Income and Return of Nonresident Withholding Tax e-file Signature Authorization:
  1. Go to
    Organizer

  2. Select
    Return Options

    Print Suppression
    section, make sure that the
    Form VA-8879P
     isn't checked.
  3. Go to

    Federal E-file
    , and
    Signature Authorization
    .
  4. In the
    Signature Option
     section, choose
    Form 8879 – Practitioner PIN
    .
  5. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    Virginia
    ,
    E-file
    ,
    Additional Information
    .
  6. In the
    Signature Authorization
     section, check the 2 checkboxes for
    Declaration and Signature Authorization of Authorized Representative – VA-8879P
    .
  7. Make sure that the Virginia state is active by going to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    State and City Activation
    .
  8. In the
    States Tab
    , Check/Mark
    Column B
    (State Activation) for the state of Virginia.
  9. Go to
    Tax Forms
    ,
    States
    ,
    Virginia
    .
  10. Go to
    Form 502PTET
    ,
    Form 502PTET Page 1
    .
  11. Make sure the first checkbox option
    Check here to certify election to pay Virginia income tax at the entity level for the taxable year
     is checked.
  12. Do a full recompute and print.
