Remove a member from Form 851 in a multi-tiered consolidation

Remove a member from Form 851 for a multi-tiered consolidation in an 1120 return.
The application generates the Form 851 member listing from the subsidiary list on the
What to Consolidate
 screen (
Organizer
Consolidated Returns
Step 1
). Because of this, you must remove the entity from the subsidiary listing before you can remove it from Form 851.
  1. Remove the entity from the subsidiary listing on the
    What to Consolidate
     screen (
    Organizer
    Consolidated Returns
    Step 1
    ).
  2. Go to
    Organizer
    Informational Forms
    Affiliation Schedule
    Multi-Tiered Consolidations
    Transfer for multi-tiered consolidation
    .
  3. Enter
    X
     to force the transfer to run again.
  4. Select
    Transfer Form 851 Information
    .
The application updates Form 851 to reflect the current consolidation list and structure.
If Form 851 details rolled over from the prior year still contain deleted entities, complete the following steps to clear the prior-year data and remove the deleted entities:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    General Info
    Return and Print Options
    Federal Deactivation
    .
  2. In the
    Consolidation
     section, mark the
    Form 851, 1122
     checkbox.
  3. Do a full recompute.
  4. Clear the
    Form 851, 1122
     checkbox.
  5. Re-transfer the Form 851 data using the previous steps.
important
This option deletes all Form 851 data. Complete the re-transfer step immediately afterward to repopulate the form.
