Form 1120-F print requirements
To print, calculate, or suppress Form 1120-F: U.S. Income Tax Return of a Foreign Corporation:
- In Organizer, selectGeneral Information, thenBasic Return Information, thenEntity Information.
- The return type needs to be1120-F.
- Go to .
- Make sure the checkbox is cleared to print pages 3-8.
Schedule M-1
Schedule M-1 is blank.
If no lines are calculating on Schedule M-1, review the following:
- Retained earnings are automatically calculated.
- Go to .
- MarkAutomatically calculate ending unappropriated Retained Earnings.noteMake sureDo NOT have system automatically compute ending unappropriated Retained Earningsis not marked.
- For foreign corporations required to use Schedule M-3, Schedule M-1 is marked to print when Schedule M-3 is used.

- MarkPrint Schedule M-1 when the Schedule M-3 is usedorPrint Schedule M-1 with Schedule M-3, page 1(total assets at the end of the year are greater than or equal to $10,000,000 and less than or equal to $50,000,000).
Schedule M-1 calculates lines other than Line 1.
If other lines on Schedule M-1 are computing but not Line 1, review the following:
- Line 1 is being adjusted for accruals.

- Enter an amount in the field forNet income per booksor unmarkDo not automatically adjust Schedule M-1, Line 1, for accruals.
- The Schedule L ending assets are at least $25,000. Per the IRS Form 1120-F Schedule M-1 instructions: "Do not complete Schedules M-1, M-2, and M-3 if total assets at the end of the tax year (Schedule L, line 17, column (d)) are less than $25,000."
