Form CT-5.6 print requirements

To print, calculate, or suppress Form CT-5.6, Request for Three-Month Extension to File form CT-186.
  1. In Organizer, select
    States
    Common State
    Estimates and Extension
    .
  2. Select
    Estimate and Extension
    , then go to the row for
    New York
     and select
    Column B
    .
  3. In Organizer, select
    States
    State E-file
    Enable/Create Extensions
    .
  4. Go to the row for
    New York
     and select
    Column B
    .
  5. In Organizer, select
    States
    New York
    E-file Extension
    Additional Information
    .
  6. Select the
    Additional Information
     tab, then go to the
    Article 9 Extensions (CT-5.9 And CT-5.9-E)
     section and select
    Suppress CT-5 extension and generate the CT-5.6 extension instead
    .
  7. Do a full recompute and then print.
If the form doesn't print, check if it's suppressed:
  1. In Organizer, select
    States
    Common State
    Print Options
    Print Suppression
    .
  2. Select the
    Suppression MD-RI
     tab, clear the checkbox for
    New York
     in the
    Ext
     column.
  3. Do a full recompute and then print.
