E-file diagnostic: Form 1041, line 15b NOL deduction

Form 1041, Deductions: If Form 1041, line 15b Net operating loss deduction has an amount, then an explanation of the computation must be attached for efile purposes.
This happens when form 1041, line 15b Net operating loss deduction has an amount but the explanation is missing.

Solution

  1. In Organizer, select
    Deductions
    .
  2. Select
    Deductions
    , then the
    Deductions
     tab.
  3. In the Allocable Deductions section, go to the Net Operating Loss section.
  4. In the line
    Net operating loss
     select the blue arrow.
  5. Enter the
    Explanation
    .
  6. Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
