Error: The field 'EIN' with value '', data is missing
This error occurs when the Employer Identification Number field is empty or doesn't contain exactly 9 digits.

Solution
- Go to tab.
- In theEINfield, enter the 9-digit Employer Identification Number in the format##-#######.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
The IRS requires an EIN to e-file. If you don't have an EIN, you need to file the return on paper.
