Form 510: Line 19 Total Balance Due - must be equal to the sum of lines 17 and 18.

This happens when the lines previous don’t add up to the total. None being on a line can cause this diagnostic.

Solution

Go to the Tax Forms
, States
folder.

Then, go to the Maryland, MD 510
folder.

Go to the MD 510
, Page 2
tab.

If lines 17 and 18 aren't populated and line 20 has a None
value, then for line 20 override the None
to be blank.

Do a Full Recompute and recreate the e-file.
