SK3-F1065-009 e-file error

This occurs when Schedule K-3 for a partner is marked with a Part III attachment indicator of "Yes," but the required K-2/K-3 data is missing.

Error message

SK3-F1065-009: If Schedule K-3 (Form 1065)for Partner "true" , 'PartIIIAttachedInd' has a choice of "Yes" indicated, then 'SchK2K3REExpnssApprtnFctrGrp' or 'SchK2K3IntExpnsApprtnFctrGrp' or 'SchK2K3FDIIDedApprtnFctrsGrp' or 'SchK2K3ForeignTaxesGrp' or 'SchK2K3OtherTaxInformationGrp' must have a value.

Solution

If using the organizer data entry:
  1. Go to
    Tax Forms
    Federal
    Schedule K-3 - Partner International
    .
  2. Select
    [Partner Name]
    , then
    Schedule K-3, Page 1
    .
  3. Review
    Item E, Line 3
    . If this line is marked
    YES
    , Part III must have a value or enter
    NONE
    .
If using K-1 aggregation:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Federal E-file
    Attachments
    K-1 aggregation
    .
  2. Review and correct the K-1 Aggregation file and re-import on the return.
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
