This e-file error occurs when Schedule M-3 (Form 1065) Part II, Line 26(d), doesn't equal the
Analysis of Net Income (Loss)
 amount.

Error message

SM3-F1065-007-01: If Schedule M3 (F1065) Part II, Line 26(d) 'IncomeLossPerTaxReturnAmt' has a non-zero value, then it must equal Analysis of Net Income (Loss) 'NetIncomeLossAmt'.

Solution 1: Exclude Schedule M-3 from filing

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Balance Sheet and Reconciliation
    Sch C, Sch M-3 and Form 8916-A
    Sch C, Sch M-3 and Form 8916-A
    Reason M-3 Filed Tab
    .
  2. Change the 1st answer to
    No
    .
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

Solution 2: Suppress Schedule M-3 Parts II and III

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Balance Sheet and Reconciliation
    Sch C, Sch M-3 and Form 8916-A
    Sch C, Sch M-3 and Form 8916-A
    Sch M-3 and Form 8916-A Options Tab
    General Options Section
    .
  2. Mark the
    Do not complete Schedule M-3, Parts II and III
     checkbox.
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
