SQ-F5471-001 e-file error

This occurs when Form 5471, Schedule Q has "PAS" selected as the Separate Category Code, but no Passive Category Income Group Code is entered for the foreign corporation.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Foreign Information
    Foreign Corporation
    .
  2. Select the company, then select
    Schedule Q
    .
  3. Select
    PAS
     then
    General Information
    .
  4. Enter information for
    Question B
    .
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
