Error: XML electronic filing is incomplete due to errors

This occurs when the system can't complete validation while creating a 1065 Federal e-file, which prevents the e-file from completing and hides the underlying diagnostic errors

Error message

XML electronic filing is incomplete due to errors. Validation is not processed.

Solution

Turn on bypass validation to reveal the underlying errors:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Federal E-file
    Create E-file
    .
  2. Mark the
    Bypass Validation
     checkbox.
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
The system now generates the diagnostic and validation errors. Review and resolve each error, then recreate the e-file.
