This error happens when Form PTE-C, Page 1, Line 5d doesn't equal the sum of Lines 5a through 5c on an Alabama 1065 return.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States

    Credits
    Comp Payment/EPT - CP-B
    Summary
    .
  2. Mark the
    Carry Federal Pass-Through Name and ID
     checkbox.
  3. Do a full recompute.
  4. Go to
    Organizer
    Activity Information
    Pass-Through Entity
    NAME
    Pass-Through Entity Activity
    Tab K-1 Line
    Lines 1-15
    Line Type of entity
    .
  5. In the
    Type of entity (Alabama, California Pennsylvania returns only)
     field, select the type of entity (
    Partnership
    ,
    S Corporation
    , or
    Estate or Trust
    ).
  6. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Alabama
    Credits
    Comp Payment/EPT - CP-B
    Summary
    .
  7. Enter an amount in
    Column C
    .
  8. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
