This happens when you want to generate a composite return but missed entering details related to page 1 of the PTE-CK1 form, or you failed to include a partner on the return.

This diagnostic is for the Alabama composite e-file. If you aren't filing the composite return, go to
Organizer
States
State E-file
Enable/Create Returns
 and turn off the Alabama composite e-file.
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Partner Information
    Partner by Partner Data
    [Partner name]
    Partner Information
    State Partner Information
    .
  2. Mark at least 1 partner in the
    State Composite Returns
     section.
  3. Go to
    Tax Forms
    States
    Alabama
    Composite Return
    PTE-CK1, Page 1
     and select
    Partner Detail
    .
  4. Review Line E.
    1. The amount on Line E comes from Lines G, H, J, K, L, and M.
    2. If a nonresident owner or shareholder has a loss, don't include them on the composite unless the loss is used to offset guaranteed payments.
