SK1-AL65-011 e-file error

This happens when the total of all K-1s, Line G, Column 1, Ordinary Income (loss) isn't equal to Schedule K, Line 1 Apportioned Amount.

Error message

SK1-AL65-011: The total of all K-1s, Line G, Column 1, Ordinary Income (loss) should equal Schedule K, Line 1 Apportioned Amount.

Solution 1

  1. Go to the
    Tax forms
    ,
    States
    , then the
    Alabama
    folder.
  2. Select
    Form 65
    and the
    Form 65 Page 4
    tab.
  3. In the
    Schedule K
    section, verify the amount on
    Line 1, Column C
    . This amount should equal the following amount.
  4. Go to
    Tax Forms
    ,
    States
    ,
    Alabama
    , and the
    Schedule K-1
    folder
  5. Select
    Partner Name
    .
  6. In
    Part III
    Line H
    , verify the amount.
  7. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

Solution 2

  1. Go to the
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    , and the
    Alabama
    folder.
  2. Go to
    E-file Form 65
    ,
    Attachments
    , and the
    K-1 Aggregation
    folder.
  3. Select
    Summary
    .
  4. Within the K-1 Aggregation XML, review the
    Ordinary Income Loss
    item and ensure the sum of all partners equals
    Form 65, Page 4, Column C, Line 1
    .
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
If you're using a K-1 aggregation file, use whole numbers for calculating, don’t use decimals. It removes the issue of rounding, which the return may do when adding the values together.

  1. Verify the total of all K-1s, Line H, Column 1 matches Schedule K, Line 1

  3. View the K-1 Line H, Column 1
    Ordinary Income totals
    .
  4. Go to
    Tax Forms

    65, Page 4
    .
  5. Locate the
    Ordinary Income (loss) Schedule K, Line 1 Apportioned Amount
    .
  6. Compare the amounts. If they don't match, correct the K-1 entries or Schedule K amount so the totals are equal.
  7. If you're using K-1 aggregation, make changes in the K-1 aggregation file and reattach it to correct the amount in the Tax form.
  8. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
