HINP-001 e-file error

You get this error when the Hawaii XML TotalNPCredit amount doesn’t equal the sum of the individual NPCredit amounts for each partner on Form 1065.

Error message

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Hawaii
    E-file
    Attachments
    Sch NP and Sch PTE Aggregation
    Aggregation Summary
    .
  2. To use the system-generated Schedule NP, clear
    Suppress system generated SCH NP
    .
  3. Alternatively, select
    Attach SCH NP Aggregation XML File
     and attach the Schedule NP aggregation file in XML format, not PDF format.
  4. Run a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
  5. Verify that
    TotalNPCredit
     equals the sum of each partner's
    NPCredit
    . Verify that each NPCredit amount appears in the XML.
  6. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
