F7004-903-03 e-file error
This error occurs when filing Form 7004 extension if the tax period date doesn't meet IRS validation requirements for extension filing timing.

Rule Number: F7004-003 The application for extension can only be filed after the Tax Period End Date and on or before the due date of the return to which the extension applies as specified in the Form 7004 Date Charts in Publication 4164
There are special circumstances where the IRS extends the due date to certain taxpayers. Review the following resolution turn off diagnostic F7004-003 when this extension applies to you.

Solution
- Go to .
- Select theE-file Diagnostic Screen.
- In theExtension Due Datesection, mark theDisable reject diagnostic F7004-003checkbox.
- Do a full recompute, generate theExtension Validation File, and recreate the federal extension e-file.
