Form 8865 and its supporting schedules don't consolidate. Data needs to be entered in the applicable member companies. Member companies print and e-file from the consolidated level.
Form 8865 is e-file compliant. All supporting forms for the foreign partnership return need to be created within the foreign partnership organizer folder or aggregated into the XML file. The IRS removed the PDF option for foreign forms in tax year 2006. Business rules require that Form 8865 and supporting forms are in the XML file.
