Error: The field 'RequestedDate' with value '0', data is missing

This validation error occurs when the RequestedDate field contains an invalid value instead of a valid date.

Validation failed on [FILE_ID]: Form: CA-Payment[1][@documentId='Payment000183C1] PaymentInformation[1]/RequestedDate[1] Description: Requested date of Payment Requirement: Base type for a date Error: The field 'RequestedDate' with value '0', data is missing. Element Name: RequestedDate XPath: //CA-Payment[@documentId='Payment000183C1']/PaymentInformation[1]/RequestedDate[1] XML Fragment: 0 Field Key: 105,1512,9,0,0,0,0,0,0 Error Code: [CODE] Error Reason: Error parsing '0' as date datatype. The element '{http://www.ftb.ca.gov/efile}RequestedDate' with value '0' failed to parse.

Solution

  1. Do 1 of the following:
    • Go to
      Tax Forms
      States
      California
      E-file Documents
      8453-BE (PMT)
      . Enter the dates and amounts on Part II.
    • Select the diagnostic to go to the same location.
    • Go to
      Organizer
      States
      Common State
      General Information
      Bank Information
      Direct-Debit tab
      . Populate Column K (Date to be debited). If you don't have any amount to be debited, remove the information on the row completely.
  2. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
