This happens when there are validation errors in the federal e-file that prevent the state e-file Florida from being successfully generated.

Error Message

Federal e-file validation errors: Florida requires that federal e-file be clean of validation errors. Clear all federal validation errors, then recreate state e-file to clear this diagnostic.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    , and
    State E-file
    .
  2. Select
    Enable/Create Returns
    , then the
    Federal copy
     tab.
  3. Select
    Florida
    . At
    Column B
    , select
    attach federal XML created in the Federal organizer
     or
    other appropriate option
    .
  4. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
