E-file diagnostic: consolidated parent FEIN required if consolidated subsidiary marked

Consolidated Parent FEIN Required if GA Consolidated Subsidiary Marked: The Consolidated Parent FEIN must be entered at the top of Form 600 Page 1 for all parent and subsidiary members that have the GA Consolidated Subsidiary box marked. Navigation: Tax Forms / States / Georgia / GA 600 Page 1 / Consolidated Parent FEIN.
This happens when consolidated subsidiary is not marked on all members of the return and the Parent FEIN is missing.

Solution

  1. In Tax Forms, select
    States
    , then
    Georgia
    .
  2. Select
    600- Tax Return
    , then
    600, Page 1
    .
  3. Select the option
    GA Consolidated Subsidiary
    . Check this option on the Parent and all Subsidiaries.
  4. In all Members:
    1. In Organizer, select
      States
      , then
      Georgia
      .
    2. Select
      Consolidated Return Information
      and in
      GA Consolidated Subsidiary
      , select
      Yes
      .
  5. In Organizer, select
    States
    , then
    Common State
    .
  6. Select
    General Information
    , then
    Basic Return Information
    .
  7. Select
    Filing Status
    , then go to
    Column J
    .
  8. Make sure there is an EIN entered for all members.
  9. Perform a full recompute, reconsolidate the Topcon, and then recreate the e-file.
