Error: The field 'StateOfIncorporation' with value '0' data is missing

This validation error occurs when the
State of Incorporation
or
State of Domicile
field contains '0' instead of a valid U.S. state abbreviation code.

Error message

Solution 1

  1. Select the validation error, then go to the
    Organizer
    tab.
  2. Select
    State of Incorporation
    .
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Common States
    General Info
    Basic Return Info
    .
  2. Select the
    Entity information
    tab.
  3. In
    Column F
    , enter the
    State of Incorporation
    .
  4. In
    Column J
    , enter the
    State of Domicile
    .
  5. The value has to be a U.S. state abbreviation, not a foreign country.
  6. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
If the entity is incorporated in a foreign country, you'll need to paper file the return.
